Ryan’s interest in physical activity was sparked by his introduction to squash as a teen. However, after a string of injuries forced him to take a break from the sport, he decided to pursue his Kinesiology degree to better understand the mechanics behind his injuries. After many years of inactivity, Ryan’s first-hand experience with injury recovery, coupled with his education, taught him that rest alone doesn’t lead to recovery but rather a combination of rest and adequate movement that helps your body help itself.Ryan has a holistic approach to health, believing it encompasses more than just working out and eating well, and includes how you nourish your mind as well. In his own life, Ryan has found that the only way to get away from the distractions of the modern world and truly care for both his physical and mental health is to be outdoors, exposing himself to the full spectrum of emotions and senses that humans were designed to experience, embodying the ethos of Restore Human. To Ryan, exercise isn’t a means to an end, but rather an opportunity to challenge oneself, engage with like-minded people, and move the way our bodies have evolved to move with the bonus of getting healthier along the way.

From an early age, my passion for Health & Fitness was ignited by my love of sports. As a multi-sport athlete, I balanced a rigorous training regime throughout my teenage years, representing Ireland in European Championships and achieving national success in Ladies Gaelic Football.

My academic journey led me to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Health & Society at DCU, where I delved into a wide range of health topics, including healthcare systems and societal challenges. My final year research project focused on the impact of exercise on mental health in adults, during which I coached older adults in my community, helping them enhance both their physical and mental well-being.

With university studies, certifications in fitness instruction and personal training, and years of intense training under some of Ireland’s top coaches, I’ve amassed a wealth of experience. While I enjoy coaching athletes and teams to excel in sports, my true passion lies in helping individuals of all ages to improve their quality of life through movement, confidence, and continuous growth.

Since relocating to Vancouver in early 2023, I’ve embraced the opportunity to connect with nature, spending weekends skiing, hiking, camping, and taking morning dips in the sea.

I am excited to work with the Restore Human team to continue to help people to define and reach their goals and to continue my growth as a coach.

Iker was influenced by sports and physical activity early on, starting at 3 years old. He was taught the physical and mental importance of being active and outdoors. He spent 17 years swimming nearly every day, the last 10 of those as a competitive swimmer.

While studying Sports Science in college, his passion for learning, exploring, and sharing knowledge with others grew. He moved to the UK to finish his education, which is where his journey working in physical fitness began. Soon after that, he fell in love with anatomy and human physiology. He pursued a Kinesiology degree in university and has now spent over ten years guiding others to reach their physical and mental health goals.

He combined his postsecondary education with several strength and conditioning training programs (e.g. CrossFit and NCSA), swimming coaching, and other adventures such as orienteering racing and diving around the world.

Patience, kindness, and calmness are his values, and they help him to find the best way to guide individuals on their own life adventures.

While not at the studio you can find him riding any kind of two-wheel transportation, snowboarding, or diving.

Bailey has been exploring the way her body can move since the day she could stand up and balance on skis. She’s always felt more connected to herself and her environment through movement as she grew up canoeing the rivers and lakes of Ontario.

Bailey’s goal is to support you in optimizing your intrinsic physical literacy by creating a healthy dialogue with your body and mind, reducing barriers with strategies to resist injury and supporting mental health through confident movement. During her time at university, Bailey studied kinesiology and mechanical engineering to develop her understanding of human biomechanics. Throughout her studies, she was fascinated with neuroscience and how to establish a healthy mind-body connection through adaptation. After late nights spent at the library hunched over math equations and experiencing achy joints with hours of sitting at her computer, she decided to put down her books for the summer and put these mind-body ideas into practice.

Jumping into the wilderness, Bailey co-led two fifteen-day canoe and portage trips for 13 young women in the Kipawa Forest Reserve, Quebec. In the following summers, Bailey planted trees throughout the mountains of British Columbia. In planting over 300,000 trees, she developed awareness of how to move most efficiently through the land by learning how to best listen to her body. During these experiences, she truly discovered that every day you need to meet yourself where you’re at, while exploring ways to grow and push yourself in a way that feels good for you - the sweet spot of wholesome discomfort.

With her recent experience working at a biomechanical analysis company, followed by being an Outdoor Educator, she’s come to understand that functional movement, as well as play, are key foundations to navigate daily activities and your environment with confidence.

Bailey believes that individuals’ adaptability allows us to explore and reinvent what we think is possible. She is so excited to help you unlock your potential within and rediscover your mind and body through movement by supporting your development in strength, grace, and resilience.
